A simple poem written in 2018 as I sat in my backyard and appreciated nature.
Breezes blow softly, caressing all that they touch
Being refreshed, yet not moving so very much
Like the sound of music when floating through air
Brightening our soul with no challenge or dare.
Sun shines brightly, bringing warmth to the earth
Giving strength to us all, and to some rebirth
Like the warmth of a smile from even a stranger
The day seems much better, to some a game changer.
Rain falls steadily, soaking the parched ground
Feeding the roots, making all things more sound
Like the spreading of love through acts of kindness
All are enriched and the giving is priceless.
Nature is the source of our needs and satisfaction
Our daily lives a reflection of our values and actions.
